The Shift Project is a non-profit organization under the French law of 1901. The Executive Committee is elected by the Board of Directors from among qualified individuals. The General Assembly allows all members to discuss the direction of the organization’s activities once or twice a year.
The Shift’s positions are independent of those of its funders.
On the Board of Directors, the 5 to 6 qualified individuals and the representative of the Shifters association hold the majority over the 2 to 5 representatives of our funding members. This guarantees independence in addition to those offered by our public interest status, the diversity of our funders, and our transparent and constantly open working methods.
The positions of director, member of the Executive Committee, and member of the Committee of Experts are unpaid. The President, in particular, carries out his activities on a voluntary basis.
