Bjorn Lomborg changes his mind

Bjorn Lomborg is a statistician, a professor at the Copenhagen Business School and the former Director of the Environmental Assessment Institute of Copenhagen. He became famous for his book, the Sceptical Environmentalist (1998, 2001 for the English version) where he defended the following thesis: human activity is not responsible for global warming, which is overestimated.

In a recent interview for the French newspaper “Le Monde”, Bjorn Lomborg goes back on his assertions and says: “Yes, [climate change] is real, it is due to human activity and this is an important phenomenon”. This refers to his next book, soon to be published, Smart Solutions to Climate Change, a collective work where he claims that climatic change is “a major problem that threatens the world”.
